Terms & Conditions
The Quotation
All quotes are valid for 14 days, after which Southend Lawn Care reserves the right to withdraw and re-quote, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Upon acceptance of the works the agreed price will remain as per the quotation until the work is completed, unless the work is delayed by the customer, for example adding additional work, changing the quote or any hidden obstructions arise.
Visit Schedule
I only provide weekly or fortnightly visits for grass cutting from the 1st of April until the 31st of October, outside of those dates I’m happy to visit once a month to keep on top of the lawn or continue with weekly or fortnightly visits if you/your garden requires it. The only exception to this is commercial maintenance where visit schedules will be discussed when quoting.
Payment Terms – Domestic Clients
One-Off Jobs – Payment is due upon completion of the quoted works. An invoice will be provided and payment must be made on time and in full, payment is to be made upon receipt of the invoice, or no later than 24 hours from the invoice date, unless previously agreed in writing before the work starts. The payment due date is clearly stated on all invoices.
Regular Lawn Cuts – the invoice will be sent out on the same day the job has been completed, payment is due within 24hrs. The payment due date is clearly stated on all invoices.
Lawn Care Subscription – invoices are sent out by the 25th of each month, payment is due by the last working day of that month. The payment due date is clearly stated on all invoices. Also payments for my Lawn Care Subscriptions are paid in advance, for example January’s payment will be for February’s visit.
Payment Terms – Commercial Clients
Contract Work – Payment terms are to be discussed before the start of the contract.

An invoice will be provided and payment must be made on time and in full, payment is to be made upon receipt of the invoice, or no later than 24 hours from the invoice date, unless previously agreed in writing before the work starts.
Payment Methods
Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer or credit/debit card, either in person at the end of the job via my card reader or via a payment link within the invoice email.
Additional Payment Terms
Late Payment: My invoicing software automatically sends out a payment reminder periodically (usually 1, 3 and 5 days from due date), there are also multiple payment methods available to enable you to pay on time and avoid any late payment fees.
However, if your financial circumstances change before, during of after the work had been undertaken and you’re genuinely struggling to pay, then please inform me right away to avoid any fees or action being taken against you. I would rather work with you than against you.
Customers who have paid late more than twice will possibly have their services cancelled.
Scheduled visits will be put on hold until any outstanding balance has been made.
Failure to Pay: If you ignore invoices, payment reminders, messages or refuse to pay then please note that late payment fees will be added in accordance with UK Late Payment Legislation for both B2B and B2C customers. Payment reminders are emailed 1, 3 and 5 days from the due date, this is done automatically via my invoicing software, if payment is not received after 7 days your services may/will be terminated and your slot passed onto a customer on my waiting list.
Also, if I have removed waste from your property/site please note that you will incur a storage fee of £5 per day, starting 24 hours from the payment due date, I will store your waste for no longer than 7 days, after witch, if payment has still not made in full I will drop your waste back off to your property/site.
You will also incur additional fees to cover my admin, legal expenses etc whilst the process of the Small Claims Court is started.
Price Increases: I reserve the right to increase my prices at anytime. Whilst I may not be the cheapest Lawn Care provider around, I will always aim to be competitive and strive to only increase prices if absolutely necessary. All customers will be given 30 days notice prior to any increase taking effect.
Whilst I appreciate price increases are not always well met, unfortunately due to price increases from suppliers, waste disposal, business running costs and also rising cost of living, it is necessary for me to assess and increase my prices from time to time.
Deposits & Cancellations
Southend Lawn Care may require a deposit from the client for any works being carried out – this is to secure the date of booking and/or materials. This will be reflected on the invoice upon completion of the work.
Cancellations need to be made no later than 48 hours before I’m due to be with you. This ensures I have sufficient time to book alternative work in.
Repeated cancellations may result in your services being terminated, at the very least it will likely result in an increased price for the next visit.
Waste Removal
Southend Lawn Care has a Green Waste Carriers Licence from the Environmental Agency, therefore only green/garden waste produced by myself will be removed from site.
For one-off jobs I will quote waste removal separately.
Waste removal is included in the price for my Lawn Care customers.
Any existing waste onsite or waste not created by myself will incur an additional charge if you would like me to remove it.
I highly recommend all customers to have a garden waste bin from their local council. Customers waste bins will always be utilised first before removing your waste offsite.
Misc
I no longer provide Garden Maintenance Services such as hedge cutting, tree pruning, weeding etc.
Southend Lawn Care is now strictly a Lawn Care Service provider.
Photography
The client will allow Southend Lawn Care the right to photograph onsite for the use of quoting, and/or before/after pictures to use on the website and social media platforms.
Insurance
I currently hold £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance, a copy of this is available upon request of our client.
